Kahiau Wellbeing is a community‑driven organisation dedicated to supporting individuals and families with practical help, connection, and culturally grounded care. Proudly Pasifika‑led and open to all cultures, we provide free community programmes alongside funded disability and high‑needs support services.
We know many families feel overwhelmed trying to navigate support systems or carry everything on their own. Our role is to make that journey easier — offering guidance, advocacy, and support through trusted referral pathways, while also creating safe, welcoming spaces through our free workshops and community initiatives.

Why “Kahiau”?
Because no family should feel like they have to do everything on their own. At Kahiau, we provide free community workshops and wellbeing programmes for all cultures, as well as funded support‑work services for disability and high‑needs clients. We walk alongside whānau with cultural care, clarity, and compassion — easing the strain at home and helping people access the support they deserve.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide free, culturally grounded community services that support suicide prevention, mental wellbeing, and safe connection for people of all ethnicities. We also deliver high‑quality disability and high‑needs support work, ensuring every person receives care with dignity, respect, and belonging. While our roots are Pasifika‑led, our services are open to all who need support.

Individual Support
We provide one‑on‑one support for disability and high‑needs clients, including daily living, community access, and in‑home/residential support. Alongside this, we offer free community workshops and wellbeing programmes throughout the year, focused on suicide prevention, connection, and building resilience.

Family Services
We walk alongside families with free wellbeing support, suicide‑prevention guidance, and practical help during challenging times. Our services strengthen connection, resilience, and hope.

About us
Kahiau Wellbeing provides free community programmes, suicide‑prevention support, and wellbeing services for people of all cultures. While our heart is Pasifika‑led, our services are open to everyone who needs connection, support, and a safe place to be heard.
We also provide professional disability and high‑needs support work, which is accessed through referrals and funded channels such as NASC and other government agencies. We guide families through the process so they understand their options and can receive the support they’re entitled to.
For many Pasifika families, caring for loved ones can feel overwhelming. We want our community to know they don’t have to do everything on their own. There is help available — and we are here to walk alongside them with dignity, cultural care, and genuine compassion.
Through Kahiau's space one‑on‑one support, family services, community outreach, and free workshops throughout the year, our mission is to restore hope, strengthen resilience, and uplift every person who comes through our doors.
