PASIFIKA WELLBEING SPACES

At Kahiau Wellbeing, we create Pasifika‑led spaces that honour culture, connection, and collective healing. Our workshops and events are designed to uplift our community through creativity, movement, Talanoa, and shared experiences. Every space we hold is grounded in our values of Tautua, Alofa, and Fa’aaloalo — ensuring our people feel safe, supported, and seen.

Services

At Kahiau Wellbeing, our workshops and events are created with the heart of our Pasifika communities in mind. Every space we hold is grounded in Tautua, Alofa, and Fa’aaloalo, offering opportunities for connection, learning, healing, and joy.

Workshops & Programmes

Culturally grounded wellbeing workshops designed to uplift, educate, and empower our Pasifika community through creativity, movement, and connection.

Community Events & Talanoa

Safe, welcoming spaces where our people can gather, share stories, celebrate culture, and strengthen community bonds.

Support Work Services

Practical, respectful support for Pasifika individuals and families — including advocacy, system navigation, mental health support, and disability assistance.

Suicide Prevention

A supportive workshop that guides Pasifika parents in recognising changes in their child’s behaviour, understanding what might stop them from speaking up, and learning gentle ways to encourage open, honest Talanoa. Together, we explore how stigma can be broken within our culture and how families can respond with love and safety.

PASIFIKA SUPPORT WORK SERVICES

We support Pasifika families who are caring full‑time for loved ones and may not know that services like ours exist. Our team can walk alongside your aiga as an extra layer of support — helping you navigate systems, access the right services, and feel less alone in your caring journey.

We can support families with:

  • Advocacy & system navigation (WINZ, health, education, housing)

  • Mental health and wellbeing support

  • Disability and high‑needs support

  • Behavioural and developmental support

  • In‑home and community support

  • Respite and short‑term support options

  • Cultural support for Pasifika families

  • Youth mentoring and guidance

  • Connecting families to community services and programmes

What we offer

Free community workshops and events for our Pasifika aiga, helping families recognise early signs of stress, depression, and emotional struggle — and building safer spaces for awareness, connection, and support.
