Culturally Grounded Wellbeing
Discover the unique services offered by Kahiau Wellbeing , designed to support the mental and emotional wellbeing of Auckland's Pasifika communities. Our heart-led approach blends lived experience with deep cultural understanding.

What Makes Us Unique
At Kahiau Wellbeing, our uniqueness lies in our lived experience, cultural grounding, and the way we deliver support with genuine heart. Born from personal loss and real-life challenges, our services are not only trauma‑informed — they are experience‑informed. We understand the silent battles many face because we’ve walked through them ourselves.
What sets us apart is how we combine professional support work with cultural safety, compassion, and connection. Our team provides in‑home and community support, disability support, high‑needs behavioural support, mental health support, and day‑to‑day personal care in a way that honours Pasifika values, faith, and family systems. We don’t just complete tasks — we build trust, dignity, and belonging.
Our support workers walk alongside clients in their homes, schools, workplaces, and communities. We help with personal cares, home help, community access, social connection, cultural support, and wellbeing routines — always delivered with respect, patience, and genuine relationship.
Unlike mainstream services, we create safe, welcoming spaces where clients and whānau feel seen, respected, and understood. Our approach blends Talanoa, storytelling, creative healing, and practical support to gently challenge stigma around mental health and disability — especially in families where silence is the norm.
We don’t just offer support. We offer relationship, cultural understanding, and empowerment. Every service is delivered with compassion, authenticity, and a deep commitment to uplifting our people — in their homes, in their communities, and in their everyday lives.

Serving With Heart, Culture, and Compassion
At Kahiau Wellbeing, our support work is grounded in culture, respect, and genuine care. We walk alongside our elders, people living with dementia, disabled clients, and whānau who need extra support — always treating them with the same dignity and love we give our own parents.
We understand that English is not the first language for many in our community, so our team includes staff who can bridge language and cultural barriers with ease and compassion.
Our service is more than tasks and routines. We serve with our hearts, honouring identity, culture, and connection in every visit.

Not Sure Where to Start?
That’s completely okay—many people feel the same way when they first reach out. At Kahiau Wellbeing, we’re here to help you figure it out together. You don’t need to have the right words or know exactly what you need. Just start by having a chat with us.
We’ll listen, guide you through what we offer, and help you find the support that feels right for where you’re at—whether that’s a one-on-one kōrero, joining a workshop, or just sitting in a space where you feel safe and heard.
"Kahiau Wellbeing has been a lifeline for my family. Their understanding and support have made a world of difference."
